Ghislain Simard's shot wins our fall photography contest!

Observatoire de la Capitale has awarded a prize to Ghislain Simard for a photo he submitted to the fall photography contest. The prize honors the best shot taken from Observatoire de la Capitale showcasing the theme of fall colors in Québec City.  

Simard, a Québec City resident, will receive a “Panoramic Visa” allowing unlimited access to the observatory for one year, as well as a publication by Commission de la capitale nationale du Québec, the book Québec, World Heritage City.

A jury composed of three Commission employees selected Simard’s photograph showing part of Old Québec with a large red ship in the background.  

 

The photos submitted can be viewed online in the photo album on the Observatory’s website. The contest ran from October 1 to November 2, 2009.
