Towering over Parliament Hill some 221 m above sea level, Observatoire de la Capitale overlooks the capital and surrounding area. A breathtaking panorama  reveals 400 years of the city’s history. It’s the perfect place for local students to learn more about their history and gain a sense of identity through a host of educational activities.

Guided Visit

Students will receive a full tour of Observatoire de la Capitale with a guide who will provide historical, architectural, military heritage, and geographical information on the landscape below. The breathtaking views are likely to inspire students to ask questions!

When History Comes to Life

Ever since its founding, Québec City has been a hotbed of religious, military, economic, and political power. Through a series of staged jousts, students will learn about Québec City’s journey to becoming the provincial capital, and also have the chance to relive some of the milestones in its history. Will they be able live up to the feats of their ancestors?

Truth or Legend?

Québec City’s history is full of legends created and kept alive in the imaginations of its citizens. Through a series of four legends, students will discover the city’s mysterious side—a place populated with characters both historical and make-believe. Food for your imagination guaranteed!
